Witness Service Policies & Client Guidelines

$35 per witness for up to two (2) documents

$5 per additional document, per witness

The following additional fees may apply:

• $5 Same-Day, Weekend, or Holiday Witness Coordination Fee

• $5 Before or After Business Hours Fee

These fees apply in addition to the regular witness service fees.

Parking Fees & Reimbursement

For mobile appointments held at locations that require paid parking, the client is responsible for reimbursing all parking fees incurred by the notary and any office-provided witnesses necessary to complete the appointment.

By scheduling an appointment, the client acknowledges and agrees that:

• Any applicable parking fees, parking garage charges, validation deficiencies, valet fees, or other parking-related expenses will be reimbursed by the client.

• Parking fees are separate from notary fees, witness fees, travel fees, and any other service charges.

• If office-provided witness services are requested, the client is responsible for the parking fees incurred by each witness attending the appointment.

• Parking reimbursement may be collected before, during, or immediately after the appointment.

Example: If the appointment location charges parking for both the notary and an office-provided witness, the client is responsible for reimbursing the parking fees for both individuals.

This policy helps ensure that appointments can be completed efficiently at locations where paid parking is required.

• Witness fees must be paid in full at the time of booking or before the appointment begins.

• Witness fees are non-refundable once a witness has been scheduled and committed to the appointment, except as otherwise determined by our office.

• Witness fees are separate from all other service fees.

• Witness fees do not include notary fees, mobile travel fees, courier fees, or other service charges.

• Office-provided witnesses are independent individuals who have no beneficial, financial, or personal interest in the documents being signed.

• Witnesses are provided solely for witnessing signatures and cannot provide legal advice, explain documents, or act as representatives for any party.

• Clients are responsible for confirming that their document requires a witness and for determining the number of witnesses needed.

• Some receiving agencies, lenders, attorneys, or organizations may have specific witness requirements. Clients should verify all requirements before scheduling an appointment.

• Office-provided witnesses are available solely to witness signatures when a document requires one or more impartial witnesses.

• Office-provided witnesses are not available to serve as credible identifying witnesses for signers who do not possess satisfactory identification.

• California notary laws require separate qualifications for credible identifying witnesses. Availability of document witnesses does not guarantee availability of credible witnesses for identification purposes.

• Clients must present acceptable identification as required by California law unless another legally authorized method of identification applies.
